Campus ministries engage students in life-giving ministry and share the love of Jesus. Next Generation Ministries supports Greater New Jersey campus ministries through a network of collaboration and innovation.
Reaching Young People Like Never Before
Campus ministries offer unique opportunities to do ministry for and with college students. By being campus-centered rather than congregation-centered:
- Multiple congregations combine resources to do more than any one congregation could
- College students are met where they are, instead of having to find their way to a church
- Community support is centered on campus, where students spend most of their time
- Students with negative connotations of church feel more comfortable joining
- College students engage in faith in ways and settings that culturally connect to them
Churches involved in campus ministries see more young people active in their congregations.
Next Generation Ministries Campus Ministry Network
Most of Next Gen’s campus ministry work and support is done through the Next Gen Campus Ministry Network, a network of campus ministries working together and utilizing Next Gen resources to grow their ministries.
Campus ministries in the Next Gen Campus Ministry Network follow the Discipleship Pathway of Connect, Grow Lead.:
- Students connect with God and each other
- Students grow in faith
- Students lead in their faith communities and school
