Rutgers Campus Ministry Shares Food and Fellowship

Jesus often meets us around a table and a plate of food. Whether it was feeding the 5,000 or breaking bread at the communion table, we see Jesus fill us in both body and spirit.

Rutgers Campus Minister, Joe Jueng, replicates Jesus’ actions twice a month with college students at Rutgers University. Campus Minister, Joe Jueng plans a dinner with college students and community members to share in food and conversation.

For Thanksgiving, Joe had dinner where college students and volunteers prepared for people in the community. Afterward, everyone sat down and shared a meal sharing stories of life and community. Then students performed poetry and music in the sanctuary of New Brunswick UMC for anyone who wanted to stay and enjoy. It was through the leadership of Campus Ministers like Joe, where God’s mission is carried out, thanks be to God.
